Kim Middleton and husband Wayne Munich. Kim helped organize the first annual Orcas Island Bird and Wildlife Festival on the San Juan Island's Orcas Island. She invited Dan to speak at the event. He made two presentations: a two-hour afternoon workshop on raptor identification and a one-hour evening lecture on the avian scavenger study.
