Hamer Environmental

Coastal Raptors and Hamer Environmental collaborate on ongoing research and monitoring of raptors and other birds in coastal environments along the West Coast. They share a history of collaboration and expertise in all phases of wildlife research and work together to find new wildlife research and monitoring projects by writing proposals, and looking for grants and other funding opportunities.

Since its inception in 2011, Hamer Environmental has collaborated with Coastal Raptors on the project Monitoring Avian Scavengers on the Pacific Coast.

When field work started in 2012, field biologists at Hamer Environmental joined Coastal Raptors volunteers and Executive Director Dan Varland in collecting field data and tissue samples on Bald Eagles, Turkey Vultures and Common Ravens for the avian scavenger study.
